Inspired by many gallery walls we've seen on Pinterest the wall when you first walk into our home was desperate to be a picture wall.
The past owners had their dining table in this area. However, it was just too narrow for our round dining table, and if more then a couple people arrived at our home at the same time there would be no room to maneuver. So we changed out the lighting and hung up our pictures to make a welcoming wall.
In our townhome we had many of the same photos hanging in the stairwell with the exception of the middle sign. I whipped that up in Photoshop and had it printed at Walgreens. Click on the photos to make any of them bigger, and pin them to Pinterest if you like.

The after picture of the gallery looks WAY better than the before picture. Great job & nice photography!
